Karate for Kids
This system was designed by ATA and is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills.
The building blocks for our system are life skills which include some of the following:
- confidence
- respect
- discipline
- integrity
- perseverance
In addition to the monthly themes, our system includes the unique victory patch. Kids are rewarded special “Victory Stars” for outstanding performance in karate class, school, or home. This program helps students set goals for themselves and rewards them for all their hard work and dedication.
Kids may receive stars for the following deeds:
Star Color | Deeds |
| Gold | Straight A’s, honor roll, or significant improvement in school |
Silver | Completion of Daily Task Sheets, emphasizing respect at home and at school |
| Blue | Positive Attitude in class, Attending all curriculum classes |
| Red | Tournament participation |
Students are eligible for Victory Patches base on their accumulation of stars as follows:
| Patch Color | Stars Needed |
| Blue | 0-25 |
| Silver | 26-50 |
| Gold | 51-100 |
| Blue & Gold | 101+ |
