Karate for Kids (ages 7-12)

Karate for Kids teaches self-confidence and respect, as well as other life skillsThe Karate for Kids program was designed by ATA and is based on a lifetime-learning concept, in addition to technical skills.

The building blocks for our system are valuable life skills such as:

  • Self-Confidence
  • Respect
  • Discipline
  • Integrity
  • Perseverance

In addition to the monthly themes, our system includes the positive incentive bag tags. Kids are rewarded stars for outstanding performance in class, school, or home. They wear them with pride on their gear bags and backpacks. This program helps students set goals for themselves and rewards them for all of their hard work and dedication.

Which classes can I take?

When you begin their training, kids will be in our Beginner Classes as part of our Black Belt Club (BBC) where you can take as many classes in that program as desired- including sparring and Combat Weapons. To find class options easier, we have noted them in green on our class schedule. For students interested in developing their skills even more, we offer a Leadership Program that is added on to our BBC program. In Leadership, students can take advantage of specialty classes such as Xtreme Martial Arts, Acro, Leadership Forms, and Legacy.
