ATA Tigers (ages 4-6)
Our ATA Tigers program is a kids karate program designed to help children ages 4 to 6 improve their motor skills and ability to pay attention and follow instructions. We do accept some 3 year olds if they show they can handle the structure of class. Our program encourages children to be respectful and helpful at home, in the classroom, and in other social settings. Our Tiger classes are 30 minutes long and are a blend of exercise, play, life skill training, martial arts, and safety skills. All of our kids karate classes are taught using safe, fun and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Karate for Kids system, emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.
Which classes can I take?
When your child begins their training, they will be in our Beginner Classes as part of our ATA Tigers. Students can take as many classes in that program as desired- including sparring. To find class options easier, we have noted them in orange on our class schedule. For students interested in developing their skills even more, we offer a Leadership Program that is added on to our Tiger program. In Tiger Leadership, students work on improving social skills more in depth to help prepare them for school and important social interactions.
